Amazon River Trip Report and Photos

Most of you know that I had the opportunity this summer to travel to Brazil for the second time! We ministered to the villagers along the Amazon River through women's ministry, men's ministry, Vacation Bible School for the kiddos, hair and nail ministry, medical help, and a Polaroid camera for them to have a picture of themselves. We arrived in Manaus late one night, but we awoke to this incredible rainbow.
The second day, I took these four beautiful pictures of the orangey purple sunrise.

Here are more pictures we took throughout the trip of our surroundings. God's creation is truly amazing!

The picture above was right before a storm we encountered while heading back to Manaus. You can view it off in the distance. So cool!

A double rainbow after the storm. We were blessed with a rainbow the first and last days on the river.

This is the infamous "meeting of the waters", where the Amazon River's water refuses to mix with the Rio Negro. God's art astounds the most talented painters.

It was a wonderful trip, and I am glad to be home! Thanks for putting up with minimal posts in July while I was travelling.
