31 Days of Pure Joy: Day 12~ The Journeying

"It gave me great joy when some believers came and testified about your faithfulness to the truth, telling how you continue to walk in it. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth." ~3 John 1:3-4
She didn't know where she was travelling. She just knew she had to keep walking. She had to get away. Rachel wanted something more...that was her destination.
All she did was put one foot in front of the other because she didn't want to be where she was. She wanted to be where God wanted her.
A car whizzed by, the wind of it pushing her back. That would be a much easier way to travel to happiness, but it was faster. Part of the adventure, joy, and thrill of it all was facing daily trials to get to her destination.
Hungry and exhausted, Rachel pulled crackers and cheese from her backpack.
Walking alongside the road now (for fear of being run over), she quickly dodged mud puddles and ditches. This tiring exercise meant much more jumping than walking; however, it somehow lifted her spirits. She threw down her pack and searched for a decent, dry place to camp for the night.
Pushing her hair back, Rachel laid her head down with her backpack for a pillow.
P.S. This story continues tomorrow.
