31 Days of Pure Joy: Day 30~ The Living

     We live. We have different pictures to paint, different stories to tell, different friends, different family, different feelings, different personalities.

     Planet Earth is extremely diverse.

     We aren't aliens, but we are unusual and unique. In fact, I don't think there are any "normal" humans. There may be boring humans, but they too are uniquely gifted-- they just aren't using their gifts to benefit others. They aren't challenging themselves to reach their full potential. They aren't sharing joy with others.

     And then there are those really crazy people who I want to be like.

     Not crazy as in insane...they are crazy-filled-overflowing-and-overspilling-with-joy!

     They give grace. They love their family, friends, and strangers (because there are no strangers to these people.) These people model Jesus to the best of their lowly human abilities.

     People who stop and help when others have a need...

     People who have something to give the homeless man on the side of the road...

     People who give cookies to neighbors "just because"...

     People who live in the moment, thankful for every blessing God has given them...

     People who have smiles that light up the room...

     People who persevere through the horrid troubles we all come across in life...

     People who include the "new" people since we've all been new before...

     People who know what pure joy looks like, so they live it out...

     I want to be one of those people. God blesses us when we daily give of ourselves: our time, money, talents, food, smiles, and hugs.

You make known to me the path of life;
    you will fill me with joy in your presence,
    with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
~Psalm 16:11
