The First Day of Autumn

The summer heat is waning, replaced by a cool breeze. Sweaters and scarves have wrapped snuggled their way into our hearts and homes. Leaves rustle on the path, and squirrels scurry about storing acorns for winter.

The pumpkin bread baking begs to be eaten, and you're willing to help it out of the oven as soon as it's done.

The only thing left to do is the calling of the thing. So let's take a moment to call it what it is and welcome it (even if you're more of a summer person like I am).
     Fall has come. Celebrate!
