Layering textures and various shapes like in the room above is another wonderful way to cozy up your space.
Using blankets, pillows, rugs, plants, wood, books, curtains, tassels, lights, ladders, etc. in quick succession or in a small space feels very bohemian.
Personally, I love this look. Even though I am an advocate of white walls and clean lines, this jamboree of colors, textures, and patterns holds a wonder for me. It almost inspires wanderlust. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's the textiles that make me think of exotic places. Maybe it's the mattress on the floor or the mounds of books.
Maybe one day I'll have a space with this very different kind of cozy.
